Are you a member of PTA? If not, you should be! PTA is the largest volunteer organization in the world, Our volunteers do numerous things -- do you want to see children grasp a concept they haven't before, do you want to accompany children on a field trip, do you want to volunteer for a Family Fun Night or a Read-In or a Science or Math Night, a Book Fair, or Grad Nite at a high school? We're your organization. If you want to volunteer for any of these events (and more) PTA is for you! Contact us at phoebe@sdcoe.net to find your local PTA school. We can get you connected! And, we are ready to help organize any PTA in any school that has willing parent participation. There are many benefits of being a 501(c)3 under the umbrella of California State PTA. We can detail these for you, so please contact us.
So, you're already a PTA member. Again, I thank you for being a member, not only of the largest, but the greatest volunteer organization in the world. And I have to say that I truly believe that California is the best state member of National PTA! We have the Toolkit, our standardized bylaws (soon to be electronic), convention, and more! Ninth District PTA has Summer Leadership Conference, individualized training for officers and boards, and a dedicated executive committee and district board that are capable and willing to help any way we can to make your PTA run well and to maximize your efforts for every child.onevoice.
